About this tour
This tour starts every month on 19th. Since Kyakhta is located close to the border, it is mandatory to get special paper from the government for visiting it. It takes 40 days to get it for the foreigner. Please book this tour in advance, otherwise we will just pass it!Going from Irkutsk to Ulaanbaatar (or vice versa) is quite popular route for Transsiberian travelers. The most usual way is by train, but we offer to you something special: to see and explore Southern part of Baikal, Ulan-Ude, the capital of Republic of Burytia and great border town of Kyakhta, which had been crowded by merchants and tavellers during times of The Great Tea Way. Visit bird ringing station, Baikal Sanctuary, the biggest buddhist temple in Russia and Old-Believers village. Despite of 2 days in the train, we will visit the most interesting off-the-beaten-path sights of history and nature.
